Role on board: Too old to be a midshipman, the terms aspiring crewman or deckhand are more appropriate.

“I’m Amaël, 50 years old, I come from the Basque Country and I now live in Bordeaux. I grew up with the sea and I have always loved it, whether as a simple contemplative presence or in direct contact. I have been diving, surfing and paddling. I’ve also always enjoyed just being around the seaside, for walks along the shore or watching the swell crash at the Virgin Rock in Biarritz on stormy days.”
